Nike, Adidas Launch New Soccers Shoes Ahead of European Championship

Companies like Nike, Adidas and others are launching new soccer shoes and other accessories for the European Championship 2008. As the producers say, their products are on the market all the year round but they want is all eyes on football at certain times.

Adidas has a new “Predator” shoe, a Euro Ball to come out and two new shoes in early 2008.

“This is really an exciting time of year for the sport at Adidas,” said Chris McGuire, the head of soccer brand marketing at Adidas.

The new Fall/Winter 2007 collection for women has just been introduced. It combines fashionable styles and best functionality across different sport categories.

The adidas are recognizable by a matt gold sign-off and you’ll find four key sport categories: Yoga, Gym, Running and Tennis. The line took its inspiration from Street Dance and Hip Hop and it features original dance shoes, like the Tamai, that comes with square heels and toes for better dance performance. There are also some details that characterize all footwear styles, ie a special satin ribbon at the heel. The fabrics are mainly made by cotton and velour for freedom of movement.

A very interesting information not only for “Star Wars” fans.

To celebrate the 30-th anniversary of the film franchise, Adidas is planning to launch all-black-with-a-bit-of-gold Darth Vader trainers.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any info about pricing or availability. It’s not clear either, whether more War Star charecters will be cover. But we’ll keep eyes open for any news.

PUMA Sports India Limited launches French 77

A new range of summer collection - French 77 - has just been launched by a leading Sports Lifestyle company, Puma Sports.

The new collection recaptures the style of 1977 - vintage with a strong retro flavor. Its aim is to reintroduce the 1970’s tennis player, Guilemo Vilas. He was the one to surprise the world by winning both the US and the French titles. He won 17 of 33 tournaments and is remembered as the one who lost just 14 matches amongst 145 played.
