Watersports Popularity

The success of British competitors in at the Olympics in Beijing, water sports have become even more popular in the country. The success has inspired many people.

The Low Wood Watersports Centre in Windermere offers training for both children and adults in watersports. The aim is to improve the skills and have lots of fun in the same time. “Britain has been particularly successful in the sailing, with golds for Ben Ainslie, Paul Goodison and the Yngling crew” said Paul Brown from the Centre.

The Lake District has so much to offer when it comes to watersports. Especially sailing and canoeing became extremely popular. The Royal Yachting Association declares that 7% more people is involved in watersports than it was two years ago.

The Low Wood Watersports Centre offers two-day Canoe and Kayak courses and RYA Start Sailing, Basic Skills and Seamanship Skills courses for children and adults.
