Skateboarding is one of the most popular activities in the world. The kids and teenagers love it as it’s got plenty of tricks to learn, they can practice almost everywhere and they meet lots of new friends who also like skateboarding.
Many young people like spending time in the skateparks. They do what they want to, they can be themselves and skateparks become a second home for them. Of course in order to be good at it, kids need to practice a lot. They have to start from the easiest tricks to be able to perform the more difficult ones. It all requires lots of time and practice.
Many skateboarders are afraid of the risk of an injury. No matter if you are new in the sport or if you practice new moves, you might fall and hurt yourself. “I tend to fall a lot when I try new tricks, but it’s worth it for the feeling of success I get when I do land my trick,” said Katie Langston.
Kids take up the sport as it’s very popular on TV, they see their idols on skateboarding competitions and want to be the same. The activity lets them be very creative - not only they imitate the moves from the TV but also they create the new ones.
Why is skateboarding so successful? Kids like learning new exciting things, they like being active and it helps them to fight their fears.
