Brits are more and more aware of the fact that healthy lifestyle means being active. The Association of Independent Tour Operators states that sporting holidays organised all over the country are very popular.

Apparently people realise that lack of activity and bad nutritional habits can lead to health problems such as strokes and heart attacks. “We don’t necessarily wish to sit on a beach sunning ourselves for 14 days in the 21st century. We have specialists offering holidays including golf and tennis, canoeing, cycling, walking, sailing and much, much more,” says chairman of the association, Derek Moore.

Figures show that about 21% of adults take part in sporting events and are active every day. People want to be fit and healthy so they do jogging, running, rollerblading or other form of activity. There are so many ways of keeping fit. Everyone can choose something good for himself/herself.
