Safe Cycling
Schools in the west of England will be provided with training on safe cycling. The “Bikeability” scheme aims to teach children how to cycle safely on busy roads by giving them skills and confidence. Another aim is to encourage kids to use their bikes to and from school.
Children will learn essential road safety skills and gain awareness about danger while using busy roads. Parents will be sure that their kids are suitable equipped and use busy roads safely.
“Bikeability” is funded by a £148,000 government grant to provide the training for about 4.000 children.
