A Fractional Sailing

If you’d like to do sailing on a beautiful boat but the cost of the yacht and its maintenance is too high for you, a Fractional Sailing is just for you. It’s about sharing the boat with the owner and a few more people. The only thing you need to do is to pay a part of the cost of the yacht.

Aquasail, based in Mumbai, will be soon launching the service.

“Fractional sailing acts like a bridge for the people who wish to experience sailing before deciding to invest in a yacht or a power boat,” said Shakeel Kudrolli, Aquasail Director.

Aquasail was founded in 2004 and represents sailing brands such as Beneteau, France yachts and powerboats, Hobie catamarans and Neil Pryde Windsurfing.

Aquashare will help owners to share the costs of the yachts as they are used only a few days in a month. The aspirants pay one-tenth of the costs and can use the boat.

“We will also teach sailing to the people apart from offering providing all hospitality to them. We expect to have at least 30 members in Aquashare initially,” Kudrolli said.
