Baby Lift For Youngest Skiers

Young skiers amateurs and their parents can now breath with relief as the baby lift has just been established in the Ayder region, Turkey. It means that the youngest skiers will now be carried to the top of the slope with a special lift.

The aim of the project is to promote skiing amongst all age groups, develop winter tourism in the region and, of course. help parents and trainers on the slope.

The cost of the lift will be YTL 40,000. As planned, the system will be used by about 700 young skiers per hour.

Kasım Esen, the Governor of the area, says the region is exceptionally beautiful but it hasn’t been utilized effectively.

“The baby lift is a first step. We also plan to purchase a snow crushing machine. Our observations are that even the locals are interested in skiing. We will also form a ski team and get local people involved,” he said.
