Ski Maintenance & Care Tips

The most basic care for your skis is a good waxing. It’s time for waxing when the skis become slow and sticky on the mountain. Also if the base looks dry, rough or white near the edges. You can wax them on your own or you can have it done at a ski shop.
You also need to check the bindings to make sure they release properly. If you run your finger nail over a properly sharpened edge, it should take off a shaving of your fingernail.
Don’t forget your skis should be store in a dry place with moderate temperature. Too much moisture in the air could cause the edges to rust.
It’s worth keeping your skis in good condition and they will be useful for long long time.
