Bert Brett is 72 now. He only took up cycling at the age of 50 but has been ot top performances ever since.
He is able to beat much younger people with his races over 10, 15 and 25 miles. Berth also does 150 press-ups twice a week. He doesn’t drink alcohol or smoke and is a vegetarian.
He says he’s the happiest while cycling. He feels like a young boy and even looks much younger.
What’s Bert’s dream? “I would love to do the Tour de France” - he says. “Amateurs can do it in front of the real racers. If there were a few in the club who wanted to do it, I would give it a go”.
