Paragliding lies between parachuting and hang gilding. All you have to do is to jump from a high point and then soar through the air on thermals. Unlike parachuting, it doesn’t involve jumping out of a plane. In paragliding you can steer, brake and increase speed.
If you’re a beginner, you won’t be left alone. You’ll share your first flight with an instructor as a tandem.

Another extreme sport, skijöring involves racing around a snow track on skis while being pulled by thoroughbred horses. Generally the sport is for rich and famous but ordinary people can have a go as well (providing they’ve got enough cash). Each winter they meet at St. Moritz, Switzerland, to take part in skijöring races. Sounds exciting? The next event is scheduled for February 2008.
