Curve Extreme Sport: Skateboarding Reinvented?

Are you a skateboarding fan? Maybe it’s not exciting enough? This news is just for you!
Gary Chang, a designer, is aiming to invent a new sport based on skateboarding. His inspiration comes from the world of MotoGP.
Gary thinks a skateboard isn’t a good mean of transport because it needs a smooth and flat surface. What’s more, it can’t corner well, especailly at a high speed.
That’s why the Curve Extreme Sport seems to be much more effective. Its wheels are located at the front and rear extremities of the board. This is the major flaw of this board. A traditional skateboard allows you to shift your weight beyond the axles toward the frond and rear of the board, whereas this one allows for quick turning at low speeds and for hops that allow you to climb or descend curbs.
What’s more, the new wheel design is very practical: the contact surface is always small, which allows a better speed and more precise control.
The rubber used for the wheels offers more for riding but there are not resistent enough when performing tricks.
You steer on the Curve Extreme Sport by leaning to the left or right. The board’s design allows for precise lateral weight shifting, which is essential for high speeds.
There are still a few details to be fixed but the board will be a great way of transport not only for the city but also a new extreme downhill sport.
