British Water Skiing Bosses Make Final Preparations For Burnham Event

Preparations for the return of UK’s water skiing championships to the resort in August are just being held. Water ski racing bosses visited Burnham-On-Sea last Wednesday.

UK’s top water skiers will take part in several races on August 5 during Burnham’s regatta after a 10-years absence.

“We are looking forward to returning to Burnham. Everything is coming together really well” said Tony Williams, British team captain. “We’ve run through the programme of racing and seen the seafront and the bay and it all looks good”.

The first race will last 50 minutes and will include races in three classes. The second one, of 35 minutes, will follow for novices, ladies and seniors.

“There will be around two hours of racing either side of the high tide at 12 noon. It should be a really fun event to watch with plenty of thrills and spills” said Burnham Sailing Club Commodore, Terry Moule.

We can’t wait!
