Great Rollerblading Event

A storm in the world of rollerblading is coming!

Charles Bands, a talented skater, invited 30 other great skate performers from all over Europe and the USA for the biggest Britain’s inline tournament.

The 23-year-ald organized the inaugural in Dubarton - the home of the UK’s biggest skate park. He now plans to repeat the event every year as a showpiece for the most talented rollerbladers.

Surfing - The Evolution Continues

The prestigious “Wetsuit Of The Year” 2006 has been awarded to the Xcel Wetsuits for their Infiniti Series wetsuits.

The award was announced by the Industry Manufacturer’s Association (SIMA) at the annual industry conference in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

This year award, according to SIMA, was given “to the wetsuit at retail in 2006 that featured the most exciting design, appeal, or innovation.”

Giant Waves Target For Surfer Comp

Surfing is already an incredibly challenging sport, but a group of some of the best surfers in the world are looking to up the stakes. Gary Elkerton is the organizer of New Zealand’s first big wave surfing challenge on the south coast of the South Island.

Scotiabank sponsors 2007 National Youth Sailing Championships

On 1-2 September 2007 the National Youth Sailing Championships will take place on the Cayman Islands. Scotiabank has signed as the title sponsor of the event. The Cayman Islands Sailing Club will determinate its best young sailors.

Races will be sailed in Lasers, Bytes, Fevas, Picos and Optimists.

The regatta will not only determinate the Cayman Islands’ entry into the World Youth Sailing Championships but it’s also a part of the “Sail the World Celebration”, a global initiative whereby each country organises a sailing event to celebrate the centenary of the International Sailing Federation, the sport’s world governing body.

Extreme Dirty Weekend

Haven’t got plans for the bank holiday weekend? The South Coast offers a great event - the Extreme Dirty Weekend. This year it will be the biggest action sports and music festival to ever happen.

Also this year Pete King will be there with his mammoth Vauxhall Vert Ramp, the largest portable ramp in Europe.
The spectators will have a chance to see Andy Scott, Pete King, Sam Beckett, Paul-luc Ronchetti, Sean Goff and Death team riders; as well as BMXers Zack Shaw and Jon Taylor.

Are you one of those folks that does every extreme sport on the list? This new helmet has been designed with that in mind, allowing you to use the same headgear for every sport, and saving quite a packet of money in the process.

A new Kong Scarab has recently been designed for multi-sports users. It’s very light as its weight is just 255 grammes. It replaced Halewa Helmet (260 grammes) which had CE approval for use in climbing, cycling and paddling. The Kong Scarab has a redesigned vent system and a quickly variable fit using a rotating knob for adjustment.
