Rock Crawling

Rock crawling is a relatively new extreme sport and the 7th World Rock Crawling Competition takes place on the 31st march and 1st April in Arizona, America.

Rock crawling is the ultimate test for driving skills: mentally tough for the driver and difficult for the spotter, as well as having to consider the ability of the vehicle. They have to drive round an obstacle course which has eight obstacles. The team with the lowest score wins, however, you get points if you have to reverse the vehicle, if you hit the marker cones and if you take too long to complete the course (you only have 10 minutes in which to complete the course)

Some of the obstacles include extremely steep hills, driving over large rocks and rugged terrain. It also important to mention that every year, some of the vehicles end upside down after attempting the wrong route up the hills and rocks.

If you live near enough, it certainly looks an entertaining family day out.
