Snowboarding In Your Living Room
Friday, September 30th, 2005
No, we’re not talking about the time you got so desperate that you put on all your kit and tried to board over the dining room table. We’re talking about a slightly more sane solution to summer boarding-withdrawl, and the odd whiteout on the slopes.
Electronic Arts have released an electronic weight-sensitive snowboard game that plugs into your tv and allows you to snowboard to your hearts content in the comfort of your own central heated apartment.

Ducati & Burton Produce Snowboard Range
Thursday, September 29th, 2005
The two major sporting names have agreed to create a range of Ducati branded snowboards and matching bindings for this winter season. Featuring the Ducati design and colour schemes, with trademarks of the Ducati Monster ‘Naked’ bike model.
The snowboards will be limited edition, but it remains to be seen how much Ducati will be adding their speed and handling experience onto this range, on top of mere graphical branding. An injection of that streamlined racing speed they are so well known for would certainly not be a bad thing, and it’d be interesting to see what shapes and concepts they could bring to a board.

2005 British Bodyboard Championships
Wednesday, September 28th, 2005
The British Bodyboard championships are due to be held at Fistral beach in Newquay from the 1st to the 2nd of October.
However, with current weather predictions suggesting 12-15ft Swell and 15mph westerly winds, it is likely that the event could be moved to the Bay at either Tolcarne or Towan beach in Newquay Bay. This would enable the event to be run in clean surf.
